I had experience on logging the Prof. David Crystal's website. There a lot of topics on this section but one that i really like is 'Toy Boy'. Toy Boy actually the older person is keeping the younger man as that person. I really love to hear Professor Crystal spoke this topic and surprised there are include unusual word English called reduplication or reduplicated forms.It's British slang, from the 1980s.So the word Toy Boy is a reduplication. It is clear that i heard he spoke "bow wow, says the dog". Bow wow is a reduplication that refer the imitation of a dog’s bark. Both two words are almost the same but the first part changes. Another examples are helter-skelter and namby-pamby. 'Helter-skelter' means a tall spiral slide winding around a tower at a fair while 'namby-pamby' means lacking courage or vigour; feeble. After i have experienced on listening this topic, i realize that one of English movie, 'Kill Bill' is very interest action. That title is one of reduplication. I try to find out on the dictionary, i happy to found 'cut-out' that many meaning, first a shape cut out of board or another material, second a hole cut in something for decoration or to allow the insertion of something else and also means a device that automatically breaks an electric circuit for safety. I also found the word 'night light' means a lamp or candle providing a dim light during the night. I enjoy to list down the another reduplication such as deadhead, humpty-dumpty, hotpot, hurdy-gurdy, hurly-burly, ragbag, rat-tat, razzle-nazzle and much more.
